IOTM is incredibly extensive and always up to date. The fact that I can connect with other touring musicians puts it so far ahead of any other resource. For DIY musicians looking to tour- this should be your first stop.https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/Austin_Miller
Indie on the Move has completely changed my life. It has allowed us to tour independently for the last 7 months across the US, become full time musicians and connect with our fans. - Gaetana Brown, lead singer and guitarist I remember trying on my own to catalog all the information on venues, bookers' contact information, etc. Finding Indie on the Move was a breakthrough. - Trick James, Drums and Electronicshttps://www.indieonthemove.com/users/LaunchBooking
By now as an independent artist, you should know that if you're not using IOTM, then you're probably not touring. We have loved this site since the day it launched and have used it for years to hit the road organized, prepared and confident. Everything we need to put together a national tour is all in one place, easily accessible and free. Simply put: We couldn't imagine touring or an independent music career without them. The most important aspect for us to continue to work in this business is to recognize and support great people. We've made lifelong connections through IOTM and are proud to call Bryan and Kyle and all the folks at IOTM friends. Thank you for having the vision to know that we all needed this amazing resource before we did. Justin Stang and Jim Elenteny Science!https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/Science
Myself and my band, Smells Like Grunge (a Nirvana Tribute Band) always had a hard time finding venues to play and then when we did find them it was very difficult to get the contact info of the booking agent. But then we were turned on to indieonthemove.com and ever since then have been booking gigs regularly with no problem. It's great to be able to book your own gigs without having to pay a booking agent and have the gap bridged between bands and venues looking for great bands. We have been very impressed with how up to date Indie on the Move keeps the info provided on their page as well. Most if not all info provided like venues booking emails, address etc. has been current and we get responses quickly. Thank you Indie on the Move! Keep up the good work.
It is great to have such a great resource on hand for all of those indie artists and fans. Indie on the Move provides great information about venues, gigs, working in the business, promoting your band, etc. It is great to have such a viable connection into the world of indie music. Anyone who is looking for information on how to better yourself as an indie artist should check out Indie on the Move!https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/mderee04803
I front a folk-rock band called Joshua Powell & the Great Train Robbery - we've been at it for two years now, but only just made it a full-time endeavor this summer. As the engine behind the band, I've worked tirelessly to learn the necessary entrepreneurial and administrative to make touring a sustainable lifestyle. It's difficult for me to imagine what booking would be like without this super-powered database. It's totally anti-establishment in the way that it cuts out the middle men and puts the power in the artists' hands. It's almost the DIY ethos, but even better, it encourages artists and industry folks to do it together. If you can combine your drive with a good calendar system, Indie on the Move can help catalyze the Kerouacian life that most people never get past dreaming.https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/joshuapowell
Hi Guys and Gals, We are Manamana. We are a nationally touring rock band that left everything of our "normal" lives behind to chase our dreams of playing our music across the country. Doing what we have set out to do would have been nothing more than a 'pipe dream' without Indie On The Move. Plain and simple, and here's why: This is more than your average database of venues/clubs from around the nation. Oh no, far from it: IOTM gives you the proper contact info from state to state (big city to small town back to big city) to book your show(s). Then this website encourages you to reach out to other bands across the country to play with on your booked shows, AND then, offers you the proper contact info to successfully promote the show via press and radio. Before you know it you've booked yourself a nifty little (or huge) tour! It happened that way for Manamana and the best thing, my friends, it's all FREE! Manamana can't express enough just how fortunate we feel to have found this awesome website. Every chance we get to tell a fellow musician, booking agent, etc. about Indie On The Move we take. It's nice to know there are still people out there who are truly dedicated to helping the struggling musician find his/her path and for that Manamana says: THANK YOU!
SwizzleSteve Presents recently started booking shows at Mothers and Indie on the Move has helped us tremendously with finding talent and promoting our shows. Thank you!https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/swizzlesteve
When we decide where we want to tour, the first thing we do is log onto this site. For being a completely independent band, IOTM has allowed us to book full time with quality shows. Thank You!!!! Indie on the move has been my first stop for touring planning for years. Now with the Press and Radio listings, my first stop for promotion too. I can't think of being a musician without you. Thanks.https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/thechrisbell
