Hi everyone, just wanted to let people know that working with Kyle Weber and the Indie On The Move staff was very pleasurable. The folks at Indie are very professional and know what they're doing. Kyle helped me develop our bands pitch to secure more gigs. With Kyles help we've definitely been able to get more gigs!!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/jazsper123Just had to share my experiences with IOTM and their DIT tour assistance program. I had some experience booking dates, with mixed success. But as the group I'm playing with was planning a west coast tour, I thought it would make sense to have some help, and was impressed with the already long list of positive reviews of this service. To start, I spent a good deal of time on the phone with Kyle, who listened to our goals and proposed plans, and not only gave me a great reality check regarding bookers and their expectations, but he also gave me a thorough review of our online presence...our website, social media platforms, and more. I felt his suggestions were right on the money, so we implemented those changes right away. Further, he reviewed our pitch letter, which he then overhauled and streamlined. With that, we were ready to do. Having had mediocre results from prior efforts, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that I received responses, and solid offers, from bookers almost immediately! We got the attention of the venues we wanted, and I doubt we would have had such a positive response without Kyle's assistance. Bottom line - if you're thinking about using this service, just DO IT. Worth every penny, and you won't regret it.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/StevenWright-MarkHi! These guys are GOOD. I am so glad that I decided to work with them saving me time, money, energy, and research to reach out and plan my tour. During our consultation call they were prepared and thoroughly researched my own work in preparation to create an appropriate pitch as well as give constructive guidance moving forward. Here are some highlights in working with them thus far: Able to IMMEDIATELY BOOK GIGS Improvements to my website and presence Strong bio pitch to send to booking agents GUIDANCE and steps to follow up and PROMOTE GIGS My testimony probably sounds fake but let me assure you it is sincere. The positive attitude and finesse displayed when working with IOTM was so helpful. These guys are successful for a reason and I wish them the best. https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/YorrelleWithout a doubt, hands down the BEST resource I've found for booking my tours!!! As a new artist with a fervent passion for reaching as many people as I can with my music, I rely on IOTM for helping me find the best venues for me and my music. My guitar player has been a full-time touring musician for over 6 years, booked over 1,500 shows in that time, and used IOTM for the vast majority of the the shows booked during that time. IOTM just makes sense and is an independent artist's best friend. Trying to research the best venue for me in a market I've never performed and, if I'm even luck enough to find a venue that makes sense, then find the correct contact info is a nightmare without IOTM. I recommend this resource to all my peers; thank you, IOTM.... thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!!! https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/WrennPopHello I am Paul Collins and I have been booking my bands since 1974. My first tour was for my first band, The Nerves. There was no internet or Indie on The Move back then so I had to find out all the info on my own, I even called a police station once to try and find clubs! Nowadays with the internet and a site like Indie on The Move, booking yourself is so much easier, I rely exclusively on IOTM to find clubs in towns where I do not have contacts or if I want to see what other venues I could hit up for shows. It's easy and its accurate and I have found many clubs that have become regular stops for my band. Having the show listings is great so you can get an idea of the bands that play the venue and having the bookers email info is key and it makes getting in touch as easy as 1 2 3. My approach is simple, I tell them who I am, and I give them the date I am looking for and I include my web site so they can see what I do and where I have played. If they respond positively and we talk about a date I then ask them simply what kind of terms can I expect and we take it from there. My advice is to try and move your band out of the door deal status as fast as you can, we bands need to eradicate that form the scene we are working hard and we should get paid for it! Good luck with your IOTM experience!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/paulcollinsbandKyle did a fantastic job helping us come up with a strong pitch and with our tour routing as well. Highly recommend this service! In 2013 I booked a 5 week tour using IOTM on my own and it took me several months booking it. This service saved me so much time this time around. Thank you IOTM!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/arifhodzicIndie On The Move has changed my booking life and kept me on the road. Their quick pitch booking system and my consultation with Kyle has more than doubled my response rate. I highly recommend the IOTM site to any musician who is serious about touring. https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/masonreedI book a room and have booked quite a few runs for touring acts. IOTM serves both sides in a great way! I booked a band's first tour in the mid-1990s. (yeah, I'm old) It was out of control phone bills, tons of cash to mail press kits and amazingly tough to reach venue owners & agents. (Kids today don't realize how good they have it - ha!) What a difference 20 years and this site have made! From weekend regional runs to 6 week tours, I've relied on this site to find suitable rooms for original artists and have opened the bands I work with up to awesome new rooms, the elusive Monday night guarantee and some fantastic co-bills. The contact info, links and descriptions are almost always spot-on. Meanwhile, I've been booking a room in my hometown for nearly 6 years and have booked quite a few acts that use this site. While I've only used the 'show availability' feature a couple of times, the response generated has been fantastic. Most importantly, when in contact with the site owners for whatever reason, the response has always been quick and professional. Thanks, IOTM, you guys make this so much easier than it has ever been! cc
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/originalartistagencyMy efforts at booking shows in the past have gone as follows. I send out a bunch of emails to venues and get zero responses. Somewhat out of desperation I consulted with Indie On The Move a few weeks ago. They helped me refine my pitch, after which I decided to use their services to contact 7 markets. Within a day of sending out an email campaign with Indie On The Move I started getting responses from venues. Two weeks in and I've got shows booked for the next few months. These guys are super knowledgeable about what talent buyers are looking for and very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/timpepperIOTM is singlehandedly responsible for our last two tours. Not using them would have been like throwing darts at the map in the dark. As a result we've increased our fanbase, sold more merch and booked better and better shows.
