Borne of the rich tradition of NYC no wave and art-rock bands, "Woodhead" formed in 2014. The band is fronted by singer/guitarist/composer Vern Woodhead and includes longtime collaborator Yana Davydova who is known for her distinctive ethereal guitar sound, and bassist Dmitry Ishenko, who avant-garde jazz chops combined with impeccable groove. The band recently completed work on its third full length album, 'Atados', and will be embarking on a promotional tour in the spring of 2022. Woodhead has performed at some of New York's finest venues, including The Mercury Lounge, The Knitting Factory, and the Players Theater; they have also done tours of the East and West Coasts, and played to a packed house in bandleader Woodhead's boyhood home town of Tecate, Mexico. “Woodhead spins a web of intense, soaring vocals...
