While non-community members can still access certain bits of information and some functionality on the site, a free user account is going to expand on those features quite a bit even for music venues and promoters. Some big differences include the ability to post and respond to show availabilities, member to member messaging, and photo/video tagging.

If you are a venue or a promoter, the show availabilities section of the site allows you to announce open dates or last minute cancellations that need filling. It takes about 30 seconds to do so and will not only post for people to browse and find, but will also send a geo-targeted email out to the Indie on the Move community informing them of the opportunity, so they can come and find you as opposed to you looking for them.

If you are interested in proactively searching for bands, you can do so via the members directory, which allows you to break down the search results by profile type, geographic location, and genre. Then you can use the member to member messaging functionality or external links to reach out directly.

All free user accounts have the ability to tag photos/videos to the official venue listings and who better to do so than the venues and promoters themselves. This will help the community be informed about the performance spaces at which you need to fill dates. This can be done directly on venue listings or via the edit profile section of your user account.

And again all these features are free!
