Kyle explains the booking process in great detail and makes it very easy for you to take the reigns and book shows. His methodology is extremely effective and has yielded a lot of responses from booking people in every market we hit. Not only is he effective on his own, but he will help to organize you and get you ready to book your own tours in the future.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/jakezavrackyI used DIT booking feature with indie on the move and I have over 25 venues booked across the country from just the first wave of emails. Everything is very straight forward and it actually works out.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/PjmoonandtheswappersIndie on the Move is an indispensable authority on concert venues across the United States, and membership offers an exhaustive catalogue of venue contact information along with detailed specs regarding the type of acts they seek, nights of the week hosting music, capacity and even how they prefer to be contacted. This venue search engine and the DIT program have helped me to plan a 2 month, ~35 show tour... so far!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/Jackson_HowardI had little to no experience with booking, or the business side of music, but Kyle broke down every aspect of this process, and helped me understand what venues are looking for, how to negotiate/dialogue with those venues, and how to fine tune my online presence. I was able to book around 10-15 shows over the course of about 4-6 weeks, and those shows have filled up my calendar for the first few months of 2017! They have a lot to offer if you're willing to learn, and if you're willing to put in the time/effort required on your part. I had a great experience with IOTM! Highly recommended! Casey. Second Echo
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/secondechoThese guys always come out and knock it out the park for an amazing price. I always make my money back and way more in just one show. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO BOOK TOURS ON YOUR OWN!! Hands down no question. These guys have helped me make a career out of music. So in a way I owe it all to them! Thanks guys
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/sethjuderichardIt's simple, IOTM makes it so that instead of choosing which venues to ask to play, you can choose which venues to say yes to! Booking my first tour seemed like a daunting task, especially when met with such little response from bookers. With essential tweaks of my content and a huge volume of potential venues already on their contacts list, there's no way you can do what IOTM does to the scale and personalized nature that they do! Now I can start getting serious about growing the quirky electronic music I'm destined to make.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/BasicPrinterKyle gave me some great advice about improving my website (ChrisSabatinoMusic.com) and I got an amazing response from the email blast that he sent out. I highly recommend using the IOTM Hire a Pro Service to anyone trying to get many shows booked in a timely manner!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/ChrisSabatinoI've been using Indie On The Move since 2010. The tools they provide are worth every cent and I've never felt ripped off. As each year goes by, I get better at using IOTM and venues get better at presenting their artist wants/needs, which leads to more productive communication and less time spent booking. My biggest advice if you're just starting with IOTM: Be realistic with who you are, what YOU are looking for in venues, what size venues you actually want to play - are you willing to do tip based performances (if not, then don't email venues that state "artists play for tips"), get your own PA/sound gear, and lastly, don't take anything personally. Choose venues that YOU want to play, and that you think are a proper fit for your type of music and presentation. Choose the venues carefully because you now have the tools to do so, and venues will start to really respect you. If you're not the proper fit (and that happens all the time), wish them a good day, happy holidays, say "thank you" anyway, etc. Manners mean a lot in this industry. Thanks Kyle for providing such an amazing tool for indie artists. To my fellow artists: best of luck out there! -Elle Carpenter
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/ellecarpenterIndie on the Move helped me book my first national tour and got me on the road with some amazing artists! They made the process and headaches of booking so much easier and have even given me opportunities in my home markets when I am in between tours. I am so grateful for their help and look forward to using them on my next tour this Spring!
