About

Phillip Brandon, a native of Inglewood, CA, stands at a modest 6’4”. He is the eldest of 3 sons, and the shortest. Born to a mother who is a singer (“Raylette” – singer with Ray Charles) and a father who loves good music, it seemed that his future was already ordered. His sound, which is a fusion of jazz, funk and rock, was birthed as a result of him listening to an array of different artists such as: Ella Fitzgerald, Earth Wind & Fire, The Whispers, and the list goes on. His silky baritone voice and style has been deemed as “the intersection between Luther Vandross and Bruno Mars.” Though his current EP marks Phillip’s debut solo project, he is definitely not a novice to the business. Since graduating from the historic Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, he has had the opportunity to share the stage with artist including: Carlos Santana, Patti LaBelle, Herbie Hancock, Take 6, Shirley Caesar, & Patrice Rushen, to name a few. He just wrapped a 33 city sold out arena tour with the multi platinum rock group Trans-Siberian Orchestra. In addition to nationally branded commercials and voiceovers, you may have also seen Phillip featured in The Color Purple Broadway national tour. His current EP embodies all of his experiences, as well as, foreshadows the path in which he has envisioned.
