We worked with Kyle on booking out of state shows. He is beyond attentive, kept up on every email, and when we finally executed everything, it was quick and efficient. within the hour of the campaign getting finished, we were receiving responses. Had I done this myself (which was my plan) it would have taken days to look up all the venues from all the markets and hours to send out emails. This was amazing and I WILL be using this again.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/playgroundetiquetteIOTM has opened up possibilities to get our music to audiences we couldn't reach before. And to venues we like to play! Grateful for these options and the service us indies get from Kyle and crew! I don't know why we'd not do this again. Until then...
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/rhbluesmanBooking tours is stressful, daunting and Prozac-inspiring. All artists want to do is share their music, not be in the logistics business. That's why the guys at IOTM are such lifesavers. They give you a thoughtful and comprehensive list of venues to consider, and truly encourage, motivate and help steer you to the smartest decisions. Indie musicians need friends. (And I'm not talking about the pennies from Spotify). I have found IOTM to be the kind of friend we need in a world that's changing fast. And not always for the better.
My band Lost In Society has been touring for 5 years, we average over 100 shows a year and 95% of them are booked through Indie On The Move. This is the most user friendly website there is out there for independent artists to network with venues and other bands. If you're in a band and you don't utilize this website then you're missing out big time. Thank you everyone at Indie On The Move for making my job so much easier, I honestly love you! https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/lostinsocietynjIOTM has completely changed the game when it comes to touring! I've been touring for the past 14 years and remember what it was like before these fine gentlemen started this site. I recomend this site all the time to people that are thinking about booking their first tour. Forever grateful -Leonhardt
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/leonhardtKyle and the IOTM team have proven to be an invaluable resource when it comes to booking and securing dates for touring. What I had worked on for months, Kyle accomplished within days...literally. I can't say enough about the IOTM team and this site. Thank you sooo much guys and I look forward to working with you all for years to come....Sincerely, SoBE LASH!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/Knives_outtSeriously. I don't think I could book my tour without ITOM. They're a one stop shop for independent artists. Booking contacts, band contacts, promo/press contacts, touring tips, quick pitch... I can get a weeks worth of work done in an afternoon! This should be the home page on the browser of every independent touring artist. Thanks Kyle, Jamie McDermott Booking Manager/Banjo Diamond Down String Band Flagstaff, Az
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/DDSBI just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am with the assistance I've received through IOTM's DIT Tour Booking Experience...I've done my own booking for smaller tours, but wanted to save some time and make sure I was being as effective as possible with my approach. Kyle has been an invaluable resource in helping me perfect my booking inquiry email, helping me route out a tour, and most importantly, in setting up the initial set of venues to approach and sending them the inquiries. The proof is in the pudding, and with his assistance through the DIT Tour Booking Experience, the response rate from clubs increased tremendously, which in turn minimized the number of holes in my schedule that I need to follow up on further. I've already booked nine shows, only a few weeks after he sent out the pitch letters to the clubs he identified for me. Previously, doing my own booking, and using a pitch letter I composed on my own, it took several emails, many phone calls, and months of time to book the same number of dates. Now if only it were easier to get appropriate local support on weeknights...:) IOTM has helped me here too -- their Availabilities feature is great. I'm just wishing more local acts were interested in playing weeknight gigs...but I do understand the issues involved...:) Nevertheless, I highly recommend IOTM and their DIT Tour Booking Experience -- it's a very cost-effective timesaver! -Scott
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/sesmlsLike many of you all i'm about as indie/DIY as it comes. My manager Maurice and I have a ton on our plates when it comes to releasing new music and generally the most time consuming is booking shows. It's worth every dime to use IOTM pro services because the process of researching venues and subsequently pitching to them can be extremely time consuming and these guys take that off your hands so you can do the easy part which is getting to the responses and negotiate the deal. Are there drawbacks? Sure there is. If you're like me and you just wanna play shows you likely will have pitches sent out to A LOT of venues that may not be a good fit for your music but that said I have the luxury of being able to fly in dates so we can field offers from around the country and pick and choose the best ones. As of writing this, i've booked about 12 dates and If you go to my tour calendar i can assure you it's been booked using IOTM services and i've used every single one of them. We've used more expensive options like Pollstar's directory (which is still useful for international dates) but nothing beats the ease and cost effectiveness of IOTM pro services. And in comparison, one show even with a "decent" turnout pays for the services. http://www.iamqdot.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/PopUpI manage and book for an independent Southern Rock/Country artist here in Nashville. I've been using IOTM for venue research for over a year now, and it has been a huge help. Recently I decided to fine tune my sales pitch and come up with something eye catching and informative for venues that was clear and concise. I worked with an IOTM rep who walked me through my old pitch and helped me create something just what I was looking for...all for a small fee of $35. The first day I put the new and improved pitch together I booked a show in a new market I had been trying to break into. The percentage I'll make for booking that one show recoups the $35 spent for my consultation. I definitely recommend you use this service as it is helpful and super inexpensive for the results you'll see after putting your improved pitch together. -Chance-
