I've been using Indie On The Move since 2010. The tools they provide are worth every cent and I've never felt ripped off. As each year goes by, I get better at using IOTM and venues get better at presenting their artist wants/needs, which leads to more productive communication and less time spent booking. My biggest advice if you're just starting with IOTM: Be realistic with who you are, what YOU are looking for in venues, what size venues you actually want to play - are you willing to do tip based performances (if not, then don't email venues that state "artists play for tips"), get your own PA/sound gear, and lastly, don't take anything personally. Choose venues that YOU want to play, and that you think are a proper fit for your type of music and presentation. Choose the venues carefully because you now have the tools to do so, and venues will start to really respect you. If you're not the proper fit (and that happens all the time), wish them a good day, happy holidays, say "thank you" anyway, etc. Manners mean a lot in this industry. Thanks Kyle for providing such an amazing tool for indie artists. To my fellow artists: best of luck out there! -Elle Carpenter

Indie on the Move helped me book my first national tour and got me on the road with some amazing artists! They made the process and headaches of booking so much easier and have even given me opportunities in my home markets when I am in between tours. I am so grateful for their help and look forward to using them on my next tour this Spring!

Amazing work from Kyle, he was always responsive and communicated greatly. My first time booking a tour and we were able to land 12 cities in 8 states. Not bad for a first timer and it'll only grow from there. This saves you a lot of time and hassle doing all the emails and what not. Just sit back and let Kyle handle it and see how many venues contact you. I will be returning for more. Thank you and God bless Klutch

I wish I had known about IOTM when I booked my first tour. The amount of hours I could have saved and dollars I could have made is mind boggling. 60% of my 2016 was booked through IDOM quick pitch option; I paid IDOM roughly $500, and got roughly $4000 in bookings. IOTM is not the only tool in DIY artist's belt, but it is the one I reach for 1st, 4th, and last. You can cast a huge net, analyze what you caught, and work from there. - Johnny Azari

Breaking into the US market can feel downright impossible at the best of times for Canadian bands, so we breathed a huge sigh of relief when we found IOTM. Having an up-to-date database of American contacts at our disposal made it much easier to get our bearings and start booking effective, strategic tours south of the border. We've got a long list of US dates in the works for Spring and Summer 2017, so we're stoked to see where IOTM takes us next.

My band had an opportunity come up to spend a short amount of time on the East Coast, and we wanted to try to take advantage of as much of it as possible. Before we decided to use IOTM, we had spent time playing a show here, a show there out of town. Once we started using the DIT feature, we were given guidance on how we could best present our music and ourselves in the most professional way possible. Our presence on the internet has grown simply from following the steps provided by the program. Once we had improved our presentation and it was time to pitch venues for our tour dates, IOTM did the heavy lifting and all I and to do was answer the abundance of emails that came in from venues in all of our target markets. I would highly recommend using this service, especially if you are just starting to hit the road. The information I now have will make a return trip to the east coast in the future much easier, and I plan to use the service to help gain a following in other markets.

I signed up for assistance with our initial pitch and some quick pitch blasts for Jess Lamb. We had a date across the other side of the country and wanted to fill in our trip to and from (in fairly short order). Kyle sorted through our promo materials and helped us pair it all down to a succinct, impressive pitch. This helped us secure 13 dates (more still being added) in just 2 weeks. Very impressed!

I've been using IOTM for over a month now. I just wanted to write and give kudos for compiling such a large and comprehensive list for touring musicians. This website actually makes me feel like I have the same tools that a pro booking agency has to schedule tours. Well-done and thanks :)

Woodhead was very pleased with Indie-on-the-Move, and had great success in booking over 20 dates throughout the Northeast this summer. Kyle was knowledgeable, professional, and quick to reply, which was especially important when we were filling open tour dates on short notice. Every single date we targeted was filled, and the logistics make sense (mostly)! We have always done our own booking, and really liked how IOTM enhanced that capacity; most importantly, we still retained full control over our interactions with the clubs (rather than ceding this power to a third party booking agent). But as busy, full-time musicians, we would never have had the time or manpower to gather the breadth of information available in the IOTM booking spreadsheets. Handling our own intake allowed us to be selective with about where we played, but the wide reach of their contact pool generated some opportunities for us that wouldn't have been there had we done a narrower solicitation ourselves (especially in our home market of NYC). We spent a couple hundred bucks, hit up almost 500 venues across 13 markets, and got exactly what we paid for. And we'll do it again. So should you.
