About

David Coppa plays original Blues/Rock an is an extraordinary singer, songwriter and guitarist. His discography includes Strom, make a change and Live N' Long. His trio plays mostly festivals and small clubs and has appeared in venues from coast to coast including last the Inaugural International Blues Music Day on 8-3-2013 in New York City and is a regular at the State Street Blues Stroll. David Coppa’s music may be defined as post modern blues but he has been influenced by many genres coming from his roots in Philadelphia with the diverse music scene it has fostered over the years. David has played alongside Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Ronnie Earl, Marcia Ball, Johnny Copeland, Sonny Rhodes, Luther Guitar Junior Johnson and Bo Diddly to name a few. This singer, songwriter and gutty guitarist has learned to take chances, and serve up a mix of musical flavors from Albert Collins to Chuck Berry to Jimi Hendrix seasoned with his Scrapple power trio and their own style. His songs range from the fast paced, rockin’ “Boogie All Night” to their anthem like, instrumental, “ Slow” and more traditional shuffles like “Mine All Mine”.
