About

Black Cat Bone is a four piece band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lead by Detroit-born guitarist/vocalist Scott Warren, the band strives to pay homage to the spirit and traditions of american roots music. Exploring the depths of their Neo-primitive Rustbelt Blues, the band draws inspiration from the Lomax recordings of early 20th century sharecroppers and prisoners of the rural southern states. The heavily guitar driven style of the garage rock bands Detroit is legendary for have also played a significant role in the development of Black Cat Bone. Black Cat Bone utilizes bottleneck guitar, harmonica, bass, and drums to deliver their nihilistic version of the american music experience. Delivering songs about god, the devil, and the lost and lonely souls in between, Black Cat Bone serves up the type of stuff you can play while drinkin’ on the front porch with your friends and family… simple, raw, honest.
