A generic press kit (hardcopy or EPK) should include the following:
-Brief biography of your musical project, no longer than one page in length. Keep it concise and to the point and avoid using fluff words.
-8 x 10 hi resolution promotional photo of the artist/band, something that could be used in printing flyers, posters, and the like.
-Three or four song demo, showcasing your best recorded material to date. You are only as good as your latest release.
-Fact sheet of music industry, press, radio, and show accomplishments. This basically acts as your professional resume for journalists and music venue bookers to refer to.
-Press page with selected quotes and reviews of your live show and studio albums. +Looking for Press Contacts?
-Radio page, containing all of the radio stations that have and are currently spinning your latest release. +Looking for Radio Contacts?
-Shows page explaining where and when you have played and where you are currently booked. This must include city and state listings when pursuing an out of state venue for bookings. +Looking for Music Venues and Booking Contacts?
