Probably the best place to play in Chapel Hill for mid-sized locals and touring bands with a little clout. Glenn is awesome to work with and goes out of his way to put together good shows. The 506 does not have a built in crowd so it can feel pretty cavernous if you do not have good local support or enough of buzz of your own. Glenn will occasionally work with the Cat's Cradle (the largest Chapel Hill venue) on putting together shows, but each venue primarily does it's own booking.

Great dive bar/rock club in Chapel Hill. The vibe is very down and dirty which contributes to an awesome vibe for rock oriented bands. Make sure you play with some solid locals if you're a touring band though as the walk in crowd is not that deep. Sound is good.
