Considering all the good things I've heard about this place, and all the great bands that have played here, I'm extremely disappointed with my experience! My show was booked over 3 months ahead of time as a part of my tour. Max spoke with and booked the show with my agent that organized the tour with the agreement that he (Max) would organize the rest of the show and obtain openers and local support. We showed up day of the show and Max seemed extremely uninterested. I asked about local support and he said that he booked a band but hadn't heard from them in over 3 months!! When I asked the genre of said support he said he had no idea! That comes across as grossly irresponsible preparation of a show! To top it off, this place is in the middle of no-wheres-ville with no chance to find kids and hustle a last-minute audience. Which is why having a solid local is absolutely essential to market the show. Otherwise, kids won't come out because they don't know and there's nothing else to do in this area. Max explained that their turn-out is sporadic and unpredictable. No one showed up for our show so we packed up and left. Drove 2.5 hours to be here! Great parking, nice owner, Max, great staff, helpful and accommodating. Not a big crowd though, even after pretty solid marketing. Make sure you play with a good local! Good sound, decent PA. - Posted by Anonymous on May 21, 2010
