Last year, we reported that Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis and members of Dirty Projectors would have cameos in the new season, and it turns out they all appear in this week's episode. Carrie joins them to form a very quiet band in Portland's "Battle of the Gentle Bands", performing without microphones so as to not harm any insects, naturally.
